Laurie signed to Partizan at the end of the summer of 2008. After attending high school in Paris, she took acting classes for three years. Then in 2001 she started a Plastic Art course at ENSAD, one of the city’s most prestigious art colleges, while spending her free time working on small graphic design projects including theatre posters and visual identities. She also spent time writing short stories and poems, and taking part in group design exhibitions in Paris and various training courses, expanding her knowledge of animation techniques by assisting friends on projects and gathering work experience. She directed several animated films during her college years, graduating in 2006 with a film called X.pression. Once graduated, she created the animated sequences for Edouard Salier’s music promo for Jehro, ‘I Want Love’. She then went on to direct her own music promo ‘La Terre Ferme,’ mixing animation techniques for the French rock band Luke in 2007. Since signing to Partizan Laurie has completed her first music promo for the band Autokratz, working with animator Gustavo Almenara. |
