Partizan Lab welcomes Lucas Martell

Partizan Lab is very excited to welcome Lucas Martell to the roster. Isabella Parish met Lucas at the recent Clermont-Ferrand Festival, and was immediately inspired by his talent, vision and dedication.

What began as a simple exercise for Lucas to learn 3D animation in the summer of 2004, 'Pigeon: Impossible' snowballed into an extraordinary short film over the course of nearly five years. Working entirely in his spare time, Lucas inspired a group of volunteers to help create a visually stunning studio-level animation, which has already received over five million views online.

Lucas also documented the trials and tribulations of independently crafting such a massive undertaking through a weekly podcast, which itself gained notoriety throughout the independent animation community.

'Pigeon: Impossible' is the tale of Walter, a rookie secret agent faced with a problem seldom covered in basic training: what to do when a curious pigeon gets trapped inside your multi-million dollar, government-issued nuclear briefcase.

For more information, and to see 'Pigeon: Impossible', head over to his new Partizan Lab page.
